Requirements:
|
1. Purpose of Role -The Rigger provides a specialized engineering technical service to central logistics and is responsible for all rigging work performed on surface.
2. Work of Role -Maintains the equipment to standard -Obtain daily and weekly work instructions from Engineering Foreman -Complete safety, injury, hazard, risk and incident reports for area -Complete the necessary job cards relating to the task done including and description of work and spares used -Ensure that all planned maintenance schedules are accurately complied with -Ensure that all work conducted is performed to the required standards and specifications -Ensure that all safety and legal requirements are carefully followed -Ensure that materials and equipment are available for the shift’s requirements in the area -Ensure the safe and proper running of all machinery and equipment are conducted - Equipment and machinery specific competence -Ensure that the prescribed safety equipment is always worn -Complete and sign off all allocated planned inspection orders
3. Qualifications -Grade 10 or Technical Trade Specific N2 -Certified Competent as a Rigger
4. Experience -Minimum of 2 years’ experience as rigger in a mining environment
5. Knowledge and Skills -English literate (speak, read and write) -Must be able to do standby and overtime -Must be familiar with risk assessments procedures -Valid driving license code 08 -Basic computer skills
