Requirements:
|
1. Purpose of Role
-The Instrumentation Technician is responsible for providing dedicated technical and operational systems support to the shaft. The role requires a high degree of competence in instrumentation used in highly automated operations. The role is further responsible to ensure that all systems are maintained and optimised to ensure that the capacity to the production process is maximised.
2. Work of Role
-Disseminate best practice in instrumentation aspects
-System trouble shooting and hardware problems resolution
-Calibration and maintenance of all equipment within the control solution
-Analyse and identify problems on the current control solution
-Support on existing instrumentation, networks and hardware
-Assist with commissioning for onsite projects
-Audit high risk and safety critical areas
3. Qualifications
-Registered as a Professional Engineering Technician with ECSA - Advantageous
-National N6 Diploma and Trade Certificate; OR
-National Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Process Instrumentation (T3/S4)
4. Experience
-Minimum 3 years relevant work experience
5. Knowledge and Skills
-Good decision-making skills
-English literate
-Advanced computer literacy
-Valid driving license
-Control system maintenance
-Profibus DP and PA maintenance
-ASI networks
-ETHERNET networks
