Requirements:

1. Purpose of Role
-This role is responsible to support the HRD Officer with the teaching of employees that enrolled into the ABET / AET Program on both fulltime and own time programs. The teaching role will be in line with the approved learning material and for different levels within the ABET / AET teaching field. Each trainer will have one or more focus areas of teaching for which they will specialize in and will ensure quality of teaching in these areas.
2. Work of Role
-Implement the required learning methodology and learning material
-Roadshow for learner recruitment
-Course effectiveness
-Trained and motivated trainee team
-Coaching assessment learners in areas not yet competent
-Conformed to education department standards Improvement ideas
-Rate of certification
-Timely and accurate information
-MQA accreditation
-Effectively use systems for management and technical control
-Reports completed to required standard and in the set time frames
-Assess oral communication unit standard
-Verify learning record
-Facilitate
-Mark and moderate assessments
-Mentor learner (development / career guidance)
3. Qualifications
-Grade 12 with Maths and Science
-ABET / Teaching qualification
-Assessor qualification will be an advantage
-Moderator qualification will be an advantage
-Mentor unit standard will be an advantage
4. Experience
-ABET / AET and OBE experience
5. Knowledge and Skills
-Computer literacy
-Effective time management skills
-Facilitation skills
-Administrative skills
-Subject / content knowledge
-Knowledge of ISO
-Teaching and counselling skills
-Conflict handling skills
