Requirements:
|
1. Purpose of Role
-The Heavy Vehicle Driver is responsible to provide effective driving skills to operate a heavy-duty vehicle to transport material. The operator must use the equipment effectively to ensure productivity and minimise working cost through an appreciation of maintenance needs and good operating practice.
2. Work of Role
-Ensure proper understanding of the required actions and orders
-Apply recognized work, driving and safety standards
-Ensure that tasks are completed to required quality standards
-Conduct daily inspections prior to useage
-Ensure that the vehicle is maintained according to schedule
-Identify any unexpected problems that could require higher level technical support to vehicle
-Ensure that regular inspections are carried out on vehicle to ensure road worthiness
3. Qualifications
-Grade 10
4. Experience
-One year heavy vehicle driving experience
5. Knowledge and Skills
-Communication in English
-Code C1, C, EC1, EC driving license
