Requirements
|
1. Work Output Description
- Responsible for the maintenance and optimisation of network infrastructure, support software and hardware systems in order meet control solution performance requirements and specifications. The role also encompasses the overall review of control solution stability and the recommendation of remedial action when required. The resultant action must be implemented and commissioned in line with the standards of the organisation.
2. Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 /Matric or NQF4 Equivalent
- National Diploma or National Technical Diploma with a Trade Test Certification or NQF Equivalent (Process Instrumentation)
- 4-6 Years Field Instrumentation Experience Required
- 3-5 Years Control Systems Experience Required
- 2 Years Engineering Design Experience Required
3. Advantageous
- Registered as a Candidate or Professional Technician with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
- Automation Networks Certification from accredited Institutions
- Project Management qualification
- 1 years Advanced Control Systems experience
3. Skills and Knowledge
- Advanced computer literacy and IT skills
- Knowledge of detailed engineering package design
- Technical report writing skills
- Strong knowledge and commissioning of Allen Bradley Switches, PLCs, VSDs, MPRs and Soft Starters
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, provide support and recommendations for new and existing equipment with regards to installations, upgrades and enhancements
5. Physical/Legal Requirements
- Fit for Duty / Certificate of Fitness
- Clear Credit / Criminal Record
- Valid Drivers’ License
