Requirements
|
1. Work Output Description
- The role of the Environmental Assistant is to assist in maintaining ISO 14001, compliance to the requirements of licenses/permits/authorisations and assisting the Environmental Officer with his/her duties as required.
2. Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12/Matric Certificate or Equivalent
- Diploma in Environmental Management required
- Relevant short courses certificate (ISO 14001, Environmental Auditing, Environmental Legislation)
3. Advantageous
- 1 Year Environmental Management experience (preferable in the mining industry)
4. Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of NEMA
- National Water Act Knowledge
- Environmental Management System Standards (ISO 14001)
- MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
5. Physical/Legal Requirements
- Fit for Duty / Certificate of Fitness
- Clear Credit / Criminal Record
- Code 08 Driver’s License
