Requirements:
|
1. Purpose of Role
-This is a team supervisory role and will be responsible for supervising and developing the team of Patrolpersons including Senior Patrolpersons, within a Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine Operation to ensure that they perform their duties and those employees and assets are protected within the law. Investigation support and emergency protection duties will be part of the activities of this role.
2. Work of Role
-Effective provision of protection services for Operation
-Good employee Public Relations
-Investigate crime and the transgression of standards and procedures
-Patrol and inspect all company property within delegated area of responsibility
-Ensure that safety and legal standards are adhered to in performing protection duties
-Assist in security screening of employees and new recruits
3. Qualifications
-Grade 12
-National Diploma in Security Management
-Degree in Security Management - Advantageous
4. Experience
-Minimum 4 years’ experience in security of which 2 years should be in a supervisory position
5. Knowledge and Skills
-Handling and protecting the crime scene
-Crowd Management/CIA
-Responding to violent crimes
-Handling various emergency situations
-Good working relations
-Communications in english (spoken, written and reading)
-Computer literacy
-Basic knowledge of applicable business reports writing
-Good communications skills
8. Pre-Requisite
-Psychometric assessment
-Firearm competency
-No criminal record
-Registered with PSIRA on Grade A
-Valid public drivers permit
-Valid driving license code 08/10/14
-Apply tactical knowledge in the use of firearms (unit standard 123540)
