Requirements:
|
1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Loco Driver is responsible to provide safe haulage of materials, ore and waste to support underground operations.
2. WORK OF ROLE
- Battery Fitment and ensure charging of replacement battery
-Compile an accurate shift report
- Coupling of hoppers
- Daily inspection of loco and allocated hoppers, take necessary actin for problems
- Deliver and unload hoppers to ore/waste passes
- Deliver and unload materials and equipment
- Ensure that tasks are completed to required quality standards
- Identify actions that could prevent and improve safety and work performance
- Identify and report areas for track repair or cleaning
- Load hoppers from box fronts
- Minor servicing of loco
3. QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 10 / Standard 8
-Certificate of Competency Loco Driver
4. EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Loco Driver
5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
-Basic loco maintenance skills
- Dover Assessment
- Hand-eye co-ordination
