Requirements:

1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE - The role of the Human Resources Development Officer is to support the HRD Coordinator - Quality Assurance and Learning Delivery, with the purpose of ensuring the effectiveness of quality assurance and learning delivery in terms of discipline specific HRD competencies in the operations.
2. WORK OF ROLE - Provide effective of quality assurance and learning delivery services to support the achievement of plans - Advise discipline team on the implications of HRD legislation and policies for work practices and systems in the operations and advise on appropriate changes - Compile accurate reports - Co-ordinate required legal and expert advice regarding discipline specific HRD quality assurance and learning delivery - Co-ordination of training courses - Delivery services to support the achievement of plans - Design of learning material - Effective administration of necessary systems - Ensure employee HRD related records are accurate - Ensure that HRD systems and procedures are competitive, legal, integrated with other Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine systems and understood by employees - Ensure the preservation of departmental records and statistics - Identify discipline specific training projects aligned to the discipline’s strategy - Identify HRD quality assurance and learning delivery risks and threats to the mine/production proactively - Identify opportunities to improve the performance of the Operation HRD function - Implementation of new required HRD systems and approaches - Monitoring and advising on discipline specific HRD quality assurance and learning delivery practices and procedures - Monitoring the effectiveness of HRD quality assurance and learning delivery and devising solutions for variances - Support the formation of business proposals for discipline specific Human Resources Development projects - Support the overall discipline specific HRD management of the operation
3. QUALIFICATIONS - Grade 12 - NQF Level 6 Diploma in Human Resources Management / Human Resources Development - Degree in Human Resources Management / Human Resources Development - Advantageous
4. EXPERIENCE - Minimum of 5 years Human Resources Development experience, of which 2 years must me in a mining environment
5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - Competent in mine HR systems and related legislation - Computer literate for role - Valid driver’s license - Skills Development Act - Knowledge of SAQA, QTCO, SETA, ISO 9001, MQA - Presentation skills - Strong sense of teamwork - Proactive and innovative approach - Interpersonal skills - Time management
