Requirements:
|
1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
-To assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor to effectively process, administer and pay the correct amount, to the correct supplier at the correct time in accordance with the overall group strategy, policies and procedures ensuring effective creditor management
2. WORK OF ROLE
- Compile periodic, regular and ad-hoc reports relevant to the function
- Continuously liaise and communicate with suppliers to ensure effective and efficient execution of payments
- Continuously liaise with the Supply Chain Receiving Department to resolve queries
- Effective stakeholder management with suppliers, internal customers and team
- Ensure that the correct creditor is paid the correct amount at the correct time within the correct payment terms
- Follow up on long outstanding creditor invoices
- Implement and maintain an effective filing system that ensures easy access, preservation and retrieval of documents
- Investigate, record and resolve supplier payments queries
- Perform creditor reconciliations whenever required to do so
- Provide financial, administrative and clerical support to the Accounts Payable Supervisor
- To ensure adherence to legislation, group policies and procedures of all activities within an area
3. QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12
- National Diploma in Finance / Commerce / Purchasing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Commerce / Purchasing – Advantageous
4. EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 6 – 12 months administration experience, as well as creditors reconciliations and accounts related environment
5. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Computer skills for the role including Microsoft Excel and ERP Systems
