Requirements:
|
1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- The Engineering Assistant provides a pool of support of multidiscipline engineering, technical skills and is required to support all the Engineering Foreman/Artisan to whom the individual is allocated to perform low complexity high volume work.
2. WORK OF ROLE
- Accompany Artisan when inspecting and completing tasks
- Ensure that all required tools, material and spares are available to perform tasks
- Ensure tool availability
- General labour support, multi - discipline
- Help operational employees to maintain equipment in area of responsibility
- Loading, dispatching material and equipment to work sites
- Material and workshop machinery and equipment control
- Provides assistance to all trades (Artisans) with activities within and without the team
3. QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 Maths and Science
- Engineering Assistant Certificate of Competency
4. EXPERINCE
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Advantageous semi-skilled with various certificate skills engineering
- Communication in English
