Requirements:
|
1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- The Winding Engine Driver is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the shaft winder for the haulage of ore, persons, and materials during a shift.
2. WORK OF ROLE
- Adhering to all safety, emergency and first aid procedures
- Advising defects and abnormalities
- Assist during breakdowns or emergencies
- Compiling accurate shift reports
- Co-ordinate winding activities with total process requirements
- Ensuring safe and reliable workmanship
- Help engineering employees to maintain equipment in the winder area
- Interacting with other teams and systems
- Maintaining own safe and productive workplace
- Performing ore pulling operations from relevant levels
- Responding to standard hauling signals
- Safe and effective operation of the winder during a shift, within the framework of the act and identifying electrical and/or mechanical faults
3. QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12
- Winding Engine Driver Certificate
4. EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Winding Engine Driver
5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- WED special medical examination (Red Ticket)
- Gamma GT
- Urine
- Lungs
- Eyes
- Colour Blindness
