Requirements:
|
1.PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- A Drop Raise Assistant fulfils a shift role in a raise area of mining operations and is responsible to assist in the preparation of drilling of a raise.
2. WORK OF ROLE
- Charging up
- Collaring/drilling of hole with S36- IR
- Design & Installation of block in the stub/inverse face
- Drop raise face freeze
- Erecting cradle – line (common name to “H” frame)
- Fill Lubricator (S36- IR) with oil
- Fitting S36- IR machine to cradle
- Fitting stabilizer to cradle Nyawo to line
- Forward S36-IR to next drill line-controlled titling of S36-IR
- Hose connections from control to cradle, S36- IR and stabilizer
- Install shank coupling rod and bit on S36-IR
- Installation off 100mm “H” frame
- Mark off “H” frame position
- Plotting of Holes
- Pre-Drill site inspection
- Pre-Site inspection
- Prime making
- Site preparation – prior to drilling
- Site preparation after holing
- Site preparation before holing
- Supports the achievement of effective targets
3. QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 10
- Drop Raise Assistant Certificate of Competency
4. EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Passed Drop Raise specific training module
- Communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
