Requirements:
|
1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- A Scraper Winch Operator fulfils a shift role in a panel area of mining operations and is responsible for all panel cleaning work and support under the guidance of the Crew Captain / Stoper / Developer / Mining Team Supervisor.
2. WORK OF ROLE
- Clean face, including winch and scraper set ups
- Clean gully to box in a manner that enables effective logistics ore movement
- Effective panel cleaning and support
- Effective two-way communications with team members and visitors
- Ensure high standard safety in panel
- Ensure that a blast in the next shift can take place
- Ensure that cleaning activities enables the panel operators to blast the panel in the next shift
- Ensure that logistics can deliver material and clean box holes safely and effectively
- Operation of all mechanical equipment in panel and gully to box hole
- Support the measurement of mining activities
3. QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 10
- Scraper Winch Operator Competency Certificate
4. EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Scraper Winch Operator.
5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Passed scraping training module
- Passed basic panel assistant maintenance course
- Mechanical/technical aptitude
