Requirements:
|
1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- The Resident Engineer is appointed in terms of the MHSA Reg 2.13.1. Provide overall management and accountability of engineering and asset management across an operation multiple facility but typically limited to a particular process in the value stream.
2. WORK OF ROLE
- Contributes to the development of the strategic operational plans and strategy
- Develops, implements and monitors engineering maintenance, risk and operations strategies and plans.
- Provides and oversees engineering services, infrastructure (roads, power, water) and equipment availability are adequate and maintained to meet operational goals
- Ensures compliance with all legal, environmental, occupational health and safety and risk management standards and best practices
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with relevant stakeholders
- Leads and manages resources to deliver production targets and projects as required
- Provides visible felt leadership in safety, sustainable development and Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine values.
3. QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12
- National Diploma or Degree in Engineering
- Government Certificate of Competency
4. EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 10 years post engineering qualifications experience with 7 years in mining
5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Proven ability in large capex project management
- Proven ability in minimising operational and business risk
- Proven ability in protecting and managing capital assets
- Experience in Delta – Planned Maintenance
- Strategic vision 2 – 5 Years
