Requirements:
|
1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- A Cheesa fulfils a shift role in a panel area of mining operations and is responsible for all charging up and related activities under the guidance of the Mining Team Supervisor.
2. WORK OF ROLE
- Assist during breakdowns or emergencies
- Effective panel charging up, cleaning and support
- Ensure high standard of safety in panel
- Ensure that a blast in the next shift can take place
- Ensure that mechanical equipment is in good running order
- Help in-stope logistics to maintain equipment
- Identify opportunities to improve operations in panel
- Identify risks and threats to the process proactively
- Make sure panel is safe, support early entry and exit inspections, bar face
- Support efforts to overcome operational problems in panel
- Support the measurement of mining activities
- Support the Mining Team Supervisor in identifying material requirements
3. QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 10
- Cheesa Certificate of Competency
4. EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Cheesa
5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Passed panel assistant cheesa training module
- Passed basic panel assistant maintenance course
