Requirements:
Purpose Statement

The National Hatchling Programme Manager (HPM) is responsible for the management of the Nandos internal development programme and Hatchlings training academy

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
• Train-the-trainer certification
• 3 – 5 years restaurant management experience
• 2 years of restaurant training experience
• Experience as a training facilitator
• 1 year of previous content development experience
• Assessor qualification
• LMS systems knowledge
• Driver’s License

• Knowledge of adult learning concepts, principles, practices and procedures (Advanced)
• Knowledge of training industry standards (Advanced)
• Knowledge and understanding of the restaurant/hospitality industry (Advanced)
• Knowledge of food preparation, hygiene and customer service best practices (Advanced)
• Presentation and facilitation skills (Advanced)
• Coaching and mentoring skills (Advanced)
• Train-the-trainer skills (Advanced)
• Assessor skills (Advanced)
• Computer Literacy (Advanced)

Position Description

Programme application planning and coordinating:

• Develop the National Hatchlings Calander across all regions to meet the cycle requirements of the business
• Review the regional training Calanders to ensure alignment
• Support the application process with standard application process and procedures
• Support the conclusion of each cycle with standard processes and procedures
• Ensure the Hatchlings policy is kept up to date and adhered to
• Monitor that Subject matter experts are booked for schools

Programme Implementation and facilitation Quality Assurance:
• QA the facilitation of the classroom component of the various Hatchling programmes
• Provide feedback to the HPMs and coach where required
• QA that all relevant documentation has been loaded on the learning management system (Signify)
• Monitor and QA the completion of online training assessments
• Monitor and QA that attendance registers and report all non-attendance are uploaded
• QA the final practical assessments, invigilate online assessment and Assess that the certification process is concluded
• Complete the predetermined moderation process to ensure the Nandocas have met the requirements for certification

LMS system management:

• Ensure all pathways are loaded, maintained and prepared before and during each cycle
• Ensure all content (e.g., scorm files) are loaded and prepared before each cycle
• Maintenance and loading of assessments and pathway rules before and during each cycle
• Maintenance and loading of training interventions where required (e.g., hatchlings)
• Ensure all target audience lists are ready in advance and loaded before and during each cycle
• Ensure access codes are set up and communicated in advance
• Support with password resets
• Monitor that pathways are closed/locked post programme completion

Content Development and Updating

• Review existing training material and update based on business requirements, policy or changes
• Develop in partnership with the external provider material as required to ensure skills relevance
• Review training files based in accordance with policy and process changes
• Quality assure all content before the start of each Hatchlings cycle
• Review all assessments before each cycle to ensure relevance
