Assistant Manager Nursing (Primary Health Care)

Experience:
A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse in General Nursing. At least 6 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable experience after obtaining the 1 year post-basic qualification reflected as in the requirements above. At least 3 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable experience at management level.
 
Requirements
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. degree/diploma in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Professional Nurse. Post-basic qualification with duration of at least 1 year in Curative Skills in Primary Health Care accredited with the SANC.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer literacy (MS office). Prove leadership abilities. Good interpersonal and people management skills. Knowledge of Public Sector legislation.

Note:

Registration with a professional council:
Registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Support to overall management of Clinical, Human Resource Management, Financial and Supply Chain Management of community day centre. Facilitate the development of community participation programmes and support facility based services. Ensure implementation of standards for safe patient care. Responsible for planning, co-ordination, supervision and control of nursing services. Ensure that prescribed policies and procedures are implemented and contribute to quality patient care. Personnel development, i.e. assessing in-service training needs and planning.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence. Attend to community needs after hours.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 614 991 (PN-B4) - R 692 166 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
