Clinical Programme Coordinator (Community Based Services)

Experience:
A minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
 
Requirements
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing (SANC) Council as Professional Nurse.(This dispensation is only applicable for posts of Clinical Programme Coordinator where it is an inherent requirement of the post, incumbent to maintain registration with the SANC).
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer literacy. Knowledge of all relevant public service regulations and policies. Understanding the District Health System. Project management skills. Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
Registration with a professional council:
Current registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Facilitate, co-ordinate, monitor and ensure adequate integration of all Community Based Services (with particular reference to nursing and related services) within the PHC Programme in the delegated Sub-district of the Klipfontein/Mitchells Plain Sub structure Establish, maintain and participate in inter-professional and multi-disciplinary teamwork that promotes effective and efficient Health Care to the communities of the delegated Sub-district. Facilitate/support and assist in training, mentoring and development of delegated staff (nursing and community health workers in particular). Facilitate effective management and utilisation of resources in accordance with relevant directives and legislation. Assist with NPO contract management. Facilitate, co-ordinate, monitor and ensure adequate integration of all Community Based Services (with particular reference to nursing and related services) within the PHC Programme in the delegated Sub-district of the Klipfontein/Mitchells Plain Sub structure.

Note:

Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid Code (B/EB) drivers licence.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
Grade 1: R 444 276- R 500 031 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
