System Controller

  Directorate: Forensic Pathology Services, Observatory Forensic Pathology Institute
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in System Administration. Appropriate comprehensive training, working experience and knowledge of Information Management System(s).
 
Requirement:
Appropriate three-year National diploma/degree in Information Management/Systems or related qualification.
 
Note:
Candidates will be subjected to a psychometric evaluation before appointment. No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Good meeting and presentation skills and the ability to liaise between different parties at senior management level. Competency in desktop support. High level computer competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Manage the Laboratory Information Management System. Support Information and operational management with regard to statistical and/or reporting from the systems. Provide technical support for ICT processes within the Directorate. Train, develop and provide end-user support.

Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence. Willingness to travel within Forensic Pathology Facilities and to work overtime.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 321 543 - R 378 765 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
