Inherent requirement of the job:
A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.
 
Requirement:
Appropriate 3-year National diploma or degree.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in Financial Management /Accounting and Supply Chain Management fields in a health sector environment. Appropriate managerial supervisory experience pertaining to Finance and Supply Chain Management.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Coordinates planning, development and capturing of budgets. Implement appropriate financial management controls and procedures which include Conditional Grants, equitable share & donor funding. Ensure compliance with all audit requirements/prescripts and the drafting and submission of relevant reports within the required time-frames. Monitor, interpret and report on the budget, expenditure patterns, revenue projections and make recommendations. Ensure efficient and responsive procurement processes within the Directorate, within prescripts of the PFMA and Departmental regulations/ delegations. Assume overall responsibility for people management of all staff in the sub-directorate including performance management, development and labor-relations aspects. Interface with relevant other Finance Departments, as required.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge and understanding of financial/ accounting/ supply chain management systems and accounting processes of PFMA (Public Finance Management Act). Strong technical financial skills, including report writing and budget planning. High level of Computer literacy (Microsoft Office package). Strong people management skills. Strong communication skills. Analytical thinking, problem solving, decision making skills, innovation, transformation and change management. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.

Remuneration:
R 744 255 - R 876 705 per annum (A portion of the package can be structured according to the individual’s personal needs) A portion of the package can be structured according to the individual's personal needs.
