Administrative Officer: Finance (Patient administration/Medical Records and Admissions)

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Accountability for state monies. Clinicom, Accounts Receivable, BAS and LOGIS duties. File and general administrative duties. Effective supervision of Medical records, Admissions and Specialist clinics departments.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in Patient Administration related environment. Appropriate experience in Revenue generation and or revenue environment. Appropriate supervisor adherence to change management.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Attention to detail, cognition for change management, strong accountability to work with state money. Valid (Code B/EB) drivers licence.

Note:

Requirement:
Senior certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior certificate (or equivalent) with experience /competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas KPA’s of the post.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Sound knowledge of the PMFA, Basic Accounting System (BAS) Clinicom and Accounts Receivable (AR) System. Knowledge of using various Hospital information System reports and monitoring and reporting. Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel). Knowledge of implementing Hospital Fees Policy and Procedure and Financial instructions as well as medical records policies. Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Ability to analyse, prioritize, and solve problems, this includes implementing an improvement process. Strong sense of responsibility with good supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of staff performance, and disciplinary processes.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 261 372 - R 307 890 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
