Administration Clerk: Support (Radiology)

Experience:
Appropriate experience in patient administration in a health-related environment.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Computer literacy in MS Office package (MS Word, Outlook and Excel)as well as Clinicom. Good interpersonal relations, organizational skills and the ability to deal with information in a confidential manner as well as perform duties with accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work in a changing environment and cope with a high work volume and follow instructions and procedures, work as part of a team as well as independently and take initiative when required to do so.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.

Note:
Only officials employed by the Provincial Government: Western Cape will be considered for this post. Shortlisted candidates may be required to undergo a practical test.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Render effective administrative support service in the Radiology Department by delivering a professional, confidential, effective and efficient service (i.e. Clinicom attendances, disposals and capturing of ICD10 codes). Be responsible for all aspects of radiology workflow management. Responsible for all telephonic enquiries, arranging/confirming appointments for Urology Clinics. Maintain the effective and efficient general office administration and ad-hoc duties. Be responsible for folder management (i.e. request and retrieve folders from Records Area) as well as managing the stock/ consumables in the Radiology Department. Reporting of faulty equipment to Supervisor.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 176 310 - R 207 681 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
