| Appropriate experience in Specialized Terminal and Routine Cleaning, Contract Management, Waste Management and personnel/office management. |

| Management of the Environmental Hygiene Services within the hospital, including service delivery outputs i.e. Integrated Medical and Domestic Waste Management and Specialized Cleaning within Clinical and Non-clinical areas. Manage and oversee Contract Management i.e., Cleaning, Waste management and any other adhoc contract services. Effective and efficient Human Resource management e.g. recruitment and selection process, Performance Management System, Leave management, disciplinary procedures, grievance procedures, Project Management, Training and Development of staff. To provide relieve duty in the absence of the EHS Managers and provide support to Supervisor. Conduct compliance checks with regard to Ideal Hospital Standards, Infection Prevention Control and Internal Policies and Practices. |

| Senior Certificate (or equivalent) plus appropriate experience within the Support Service Department. |
| |
|
| Sound knowledge and understanding of Health Care Risk Waste Regulation, 2013, HR Policies, Disciplinary Code and Procedure. Ability to adhere to all departmental requirements, protocols and procedures. Excellent report writing skills and the ability to motivate and train staff. Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Sound verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. |

| Willing to perform standby duties and work irregular hours. Must be of Sober habits. |

Remuneration:

|
R 321 543 - R 378 765 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
