Experience:
Appropriate experience of Asset Management and Warehousing in a LOGIS environment. Appropriate experience of the LOGIS, WINRDM and EPS (Electronic Procurement System).
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Computer literacy (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook: e-mail). Knowledge of the PFMA, Finance Instructions, Provincial Treasury Instructions and National Treasury Regulations.

Duties (key results areas/outputs):
Responsible for demand management and acquisition management: demand management plan, needs analysis, procurement activities for goods and services in Stellenbosch sub-district. Perform duties related to IPS processes, invite quotations for goods and services, evaluation and adjudication on system, prepare bidding templates and relevant documentation to present at Quotation Evaluation Committee. Perform tasks related to procurement processes, i.e. capturing on LOGIS system, assistance with specification compilation, and maintain 0-9 files and follow-up with suppliers on outstanding goods. Assisting with effective Asset Management: Maintain a credible and effective asset register, manage asset movement, counting and bar-coding, Undertake Interim and Annual Financial asset counts, reporting of losses, theft, shortages and surpluses; Ensure disposals of assets in line with SCM policies and procedures.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accountancy as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KPAs) of the post.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) drivers licence.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 173 703- R 204 612 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
