Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid Code (B/EB) drivers licence. Willingness to work 12-hour shifts (i.e. night duty, weekends, and public holidays) and work overtime on short notice.

Only officials within the Provincial Government: Western Cape will be considered for this post.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience of patient admissions and helpdesk functions.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer Literacy (MS word, Excel, Outlook, etc). Knowledge of PHCIS/Appointment system. Knowledge of the PFMA and responsibilities linked to finance management. Knowledge of filing, archiving and disposal process of patient records and ordering of stock. Excellent communications skills in at least two of the official languages in the Western Cape.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Provisioning of effective record keeping – Admissions of clients in different departments, open new folders as per SOP, complete patient assessments as per finance instruction/grading and update patient information. Merging of duplicate and temporary folders, filing, archiving and disposal of patient records. Professional ethical codes and loyal service delivery maintained – Accomplish key tasks in a competent and acceptable manner, accepts responsibility in respect of other employees in their absence, adhere to sound professional behaviour and dress code. Ensure effective and efficient implementation of all applicable policies, procedures, and instructions. Efficient managing, collecting, and capturing of electronic data – Ensure accurate and daily capturing on PHCIS/HECTIS/relevant electronic systems, scanning and compiling of tally sheets daily. Ensure accurate appointments are captured on relevant systems. Provide support to supervisor – Ensure clients are admitted according to the appointment system, pre-draw folders for different departments, assist with queue marshalling and helpdesk functions. Ensure good client relations strategies to minimise complaints received. Attend and participate at ad hoc- and scheduled meetings.
 
Requirement:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 176 310- R 207 681 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
