| Ability to work overtime, which includes weekends and public holidays when needed. Incumbent must be strong enough to lift heavy objects and be on his/her his feet for long periods of time. |

| Appropriate and relevant Supervisory experience in a large scale Food Service Unit. |
| |
|
| Ensure and uphold strict quality control systems for food, as well as stock management and ensure safe operation of machinery and equipment. Responsible for personnel administration (i.e. SPMS reports, duty rosters, annual leave schedules and training of Sub-ordinates). Process statistics to ensure that the food expenditure remains within the budget, as well as assisting in the compilation of menu/meal costing. Responsible for Food Service computerised costing systems and (LOGIS) functions. Assist with procurement procedures, e.g. order and receive supplies in the Food Service Unit. Monitor all activities related to the operations of the Food Services Unit according to Provincial Food Services SOP’s. |

| General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) Grade 9/Std 7 and Food Certificate. |
| |
|
| Good communication/interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Disciplinary Procedures and the ability to maintain discipline and handle conflict. Sound organising skills and effective utilisation and supervision of the Food Service team. Computer literacy (Office Word and Excel), writing and numerical skills. |

Remuneration:

R 176 310 - R 207 681 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
