| Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife. |

| Excellent verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Basic Computer literacy (MS Office and Outlook). Ability to facilitate training, critical and analytical thinking and reasoning and excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Knowledge and understanding of the SANC Education and Training regulations as stipulated in the Nursing Act 33 of 2005, including the new nursing qualifications as per National Qualifications Framework, including appropriate experience in clinical nurse training. |

| Grade 1: None after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. |

| Participate in the formal and informal clinical training, accompaniment and mentorship. Participate in personnel development and research. Facilitate the development and implementation of Orientation and Induction programmes in the Nursing Component. Active participation in, and support for, the hospital’s continuous improvement initiatives. Offer professional support to Nursing Management, as delegated. |

| Proof of current registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse and Midwife. |

| Valid Code (B/EB) driver’s licence. Deputising for the Clinical Programme Coordinator: Nurse Training. Willingness to assist with accredited Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with practical examination assessments of students as required. |

Remuneration:

Grade 1: R 260 760 (PN-A2)- R 302 292 per annum, Grade 2: R 320 703 (PN-A3)-R 368 307 per annum, Grade 3: R 388 974 (PN-A4)-R 492 756 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
