A minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. |

Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma/Degree) in nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. |

Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape (written and verbal). Ability to function/make decisions independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Good communication, interpersonal relationships, exceptional leadership and conflict resolution skills. Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet). Knowledge and understanding of the District Health System/and health implementation thereof as well as experience in office administration, human resource management, financial management, supply chain and procurement processes on Operational level. |

Provision of Leadership and Management by supervision, coordination & delegation to provide quality care through applying professional and ethical standards and legislation in designated unit. Clinical governance of designated unit. Provision of effective support to nursing services. Effectively manage the utilization and supervision of resources, people management, employee relations and monitoring and evaluation of quality. Adequate financial planning and support, budgeting and control of the unit. Professional and ethical conduct. Oversight of research, training and education in the unit. |

Willingness to work day shift, night shift, weekends and public holidays. |

Remuneration:
|
R 450 939 - R 507 531 (PN-A5) per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
