A minimum of 3 years’ appropriate experience in Occupational Therapy after registration with the HPCSA. |

Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist. |

|
Comprehensive and Operational Management of Occupational therapy services and an Interdisciplinary Team within a rehabilitation environment. Financial and Asset management within resources and according to the prescripts of Western Cape DoH. Comprehensive People Management and development of staff in relevant and delegated section. Information Management to promote service delivery policy development and implementation at WCRC. Liaison with internal (DOH) stakeholders to improve continuity of care. Liaison with external stakeholders in respect with training, research and innovation in the field. |

Registration with the Health Professions Council of South African Council (HPCSA) as an occupational therapist. |
|
|
Short-listed candidates will be subjected to a competency test. Only officials employed by the Provincial Government Western Cape will be considered for this post. |

|
Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation- and conflict-resolution skills. Competency in Public Sector People Management, including Supervisory and Managerial skills in Health related setting, Recruitment & Selection, Performance Management, and Labour relations. Competency in information management (data management, analysis, interpretation, target setting, monitoring and evaluation) with the appropriate computer literacy skills. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Appropriate experience in a Rehabilitation Health environment. |

Valid Code B/EB driver’s licence. |

Remuneration:
|
Grade 1: R 473 112 - R 525 087 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
