Experience:
Appropriate experience in Human Resource Management in the Public Service. Appropriate experience in PERSAL.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of applicable policies, legislation, guidelines, standards, procedures and applicable practices in the Public Service. Computer literacy. Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. Written and verbal communication skills in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Perform all administrative duties pertaining to the personnel administration section, e.g. appointments, service terminations, transfers, pension administration, salary administration, leave, commuted overtime, housing, injury on duty, SPMS/PERMIS, distribution of monthly payslips and debt management and verify documents and qualifications. Responsible for capturing transactions on PERSAL. Audit personnel and leave records. File personnel data, policies, regulations and circulars and maintain registers, i.e. PILIR, RWOEE, appointments and service terminations. Assist with recruitment and selection process. Assist staff, supervisor, management and members of the public with regards to human resource matters, and provide an effective support service to supervisor, i.e. relief duties, attending meetings.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Willingness to perform overtime when required.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 176 310- R 207 681 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
