Administrative Officer: Supply Chain Management (Asset Management)

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Acquisition of assets and repairs of equipment. Manage the annual stocktaking process. Perform all required transactions on the computerized Asset Register. Mark, barcode, take on, disposal and maintenance of assets according to prescribed prescripts. People Management pertaining to subordinates. Approve and adjudication on IPS enquiries. Assist with the reporting of the Annual and Interim Financial Statements within the Directorate as well as the monthly Supply Management reporting ito Major and Minor assets for Bas vs LOGIS Recon & Notes 40 and 41. Promote leadership, motivation, innovation and change management.
 
Experience:
Appropriate supervisory experience. Appropriate experience that focuses on the key result areas (KRAs) of the post.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). Knowledge of the National Provincial Treasury Regulations and the Accounting Officers System. Knowledge of all relevant legislation, policies and prescripts applicable to SCM. Knowledge of Asset management systems. Good written and verbal communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape LOGIS, EPS, PTSEB, CSD experience.

Requirement:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accountancy as passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’s) of the post.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) drivers licence and willingness to travel.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 261 372- R 307 890 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
