Extensive knowledge in the carpentry field especially in maintenance and repairs. Keeping abreast with new techniques and materials. Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel). Supervisory skills and the ability to write reports. The ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. |

Grade A: No experience required. Grade B: At least 18 years appropriate/recognisable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate. Grade C: At least 34 years appropriate/recognisable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate. |

Manage the carpentry workshop to maintain buildings and areas such as the installation of new equipment and the maintenance and repair of existing equipment and furniture. Control and ensure the best ultilisation of tools, equipment and material. Stock control of the carpentry workshop. Supervise, mentor and manage the performance of workshop personnel. |

Remuneration:
|
193 512 - 214 770 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
