Chief Occupational Therapist Grade 1

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience after registration with the HPCSA in Occupational Therapy.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of applicable health legislation, relevant acts and public service policies and procedures. Understanding of evidence-based practice and knowledge of PSR model in a Mental health environment. Computer literacy. Fluency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.

Note:

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Provide Clinical Service delivery in Lentegeur Adolescent Unit. Provide Clinical Service delivery in the Child & Family Unit. Ensure progress and development of the OT service rendered to Child & Adolescent Platform and Adult Intellectual Disability Service. Clinical Administration. Resource Management. Support to HOD.
 
Registration with a professional council:
Registration with the HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
473 112 - 525 087 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
