Administration Clerk: Supply Chain Management (Procurement)

Experience:
Appropriate experience in supply chain management.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Assist and download quotations via IPS and performing close-outs on IPS. Prepare procurement templates for the quotation committee. Ensure order reach suppliers timeously. Assist with quarterly and annual inventory count. Arrange mini-contracts and assist update contracts, renewal of Contacts and Lease on request. Provide assistance to supervisor and colleagues. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and prescripts pertaining to supply chain management. Maintain the 0-9 file and ensure daily filling is done. Effective and efficient knowledge of the Procurement on LOGIS and Integrated Procurement Solutions (ePS) environment. Update and submit accurate and timeous reporting of information related to equipment purchases to AO, SAO and ASD and other stakeholders. Effective procurement of all institutional infrastructure service (16A and 16B), medical supplies and or Minor and major equipment ensuring budgets is spent. Liaise with end users, service providers and other Governmental departments regarding Supply Chain matters.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of and practical experience in LOGIS and the Integrated Procurement Solutions (IPS). Good verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook. Good organisational skills. Knowledge of procurement, infrastructure services (16B), equipment and medical supplies and contract management process. Knowledge of PFMA, Finance instructions, Provincial and Treasury regulations. Knowledge of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act 5 of 2000 (PPPFA). Knowledge in the procurement of infrastructure services (16B), equipment and medical supplies in a SCM environment.

Inherent requirement of the job:
Perform overtime duties when required.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) of the post.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 176 310- R 207 681 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
