Experience:
5 years appropriate post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
 
Requirements
Appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical (Fitter and Turner or related).
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good communication skills. Conversant with the requirements of the General machinery regulation and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Knowledge and experience of laundry equipment and pressure systems.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Perform standby duties. Perform necessary supervisory and administrative functions. Control over tools and materials. Train and supervision of subordinates. Assist and supervise the execution of engineering projects/repairs at hospitals and health institutions Maintain and repairs of mechanical installations and equipment at health institutions within the Metro. Assist Chief Artisan with their duties.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) drivers licence.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
Grade A: R 308,826-R 349,809 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
