Administrative Officer: Supply Chain Management (Asset Management)

Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid Code (B/EB) drivers licence.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
A working knowledge of all relevant legislation, policies, and prescripts applicable to SCM. Computer literacy with a working knowledge of Syspro- Asset management system. Good written and verbal communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in an asset management environment.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Effectively and efficiently provide supervision and manage the various teams within asset management to achieve its goals, objectives, and targets by providing interpretation, application and ensure compliance of SCM / asset management policies, regulations, prescripts, and instructions. Compile and maintain an accurate institutional asset register. Provide guidance, supervision and management of the asset verification process, take on (additions) process, transfer, donation, and disposal process of assets within the institution. Provide guidance, input and information in demand planning and assist with all audit queries from internal auditors and the auditor general on asset related issues. Manage the daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of the asset verification process to the Assistant Director, Deputy Director, and head office as well as reporting on the monthly IFS process and give input in the interim and annual financial statements. Manage the performance, training, and development of staff in the asset management section and promote innovation and change management.

Minimum educational qualification:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accountancy as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’s) of the post. Experience:
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 261 372- R 307 890 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
