Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. |

Only officials within the Provincial Government: Western Cape will be considered for this post. |

|
A minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. |
|
|
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Knowledge of labour relations and disciplinary code and procedures. Knowledge and insight of relevant legislation and policy related to nursing within the Public Service. Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and departmental policies. Knowledge of the Nursing information Management Systems (NIMS). Basic computer literacy. |

Management and Promotion of Quality Assurance, Infection Control and Occupational Health and Safety. Community Participation and Support to Nursing Management. |

Willingness to work shifts, public holidays, after-hours and weekend cover for nursing. Deputising for the Assistant Manager, Nursing. Work night-duty on a planned schedule to relieve Night Nursing Manager. |

Remuneration:
|
Grade 1: R 450 939 (PN-A5)- R 507 531 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
