Experience:
Appropriate patient administrative experience in a health/patient environment. Appropriate Clinicom experience. Appropriate Cashier experience within a hospital setting.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Check all clinic lists and appointments and ensure that all folders are at reception before patient arrives. Accurately capture all patient details and charge entries on Clinicom and update patient information. Enter correct appointment details on cards and ensure appointments are booked, attended, discharged/disposed. Ensure that all Clinicom transactions are done in timeously. Cashier – Revenue collection. Relieve in other departments as operationally required.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Computer skills in MS Office. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Problem-solving and conflict management with good organisational skills. Official must have a good understanding of the daily running of outpatient clinics, good understanding of the department & fees protocol, and hospital fees, policies and procedures – Chapter 18.

Minimum educational qualification:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
 
Note:
Short listed candidates may be subjected to a practical test. Only employees within the Western Cape Government will be considered for this post.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Willingness to work overtime and provide relief in other departments as operationally required.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 176 310- R 207 681 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
