Artisan Production (Mechanical) Grade A to C

Inherent requirement of the job:
A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license. Perform standby duties and attend to emergency breakdowns after hours.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Appropriate Trade Test Certificate in a Mechanical field.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Check, maintain, install and repair mechanical-, air conditioner- installations and equipment. Check and reset fire alarms. Manage and supervise work schedules for the division and assist in supervising and training of staff. Manage and assist with the execution of maintenance projects/repairs within the health facility. Exercise control over tools and materials. Learn, comply and become knowledgeable with in-house systems and procedures.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Conversant with the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act. Computer literacy. Problem solving and analysis skills. Train and develop staff. Appropriate experience in compressors, autoclaves, air-conditioning- and refrigeration systems. Supervisory experience including People- and Facility Management. Proficiency in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
Experience:
Grade A: No experience required. Grade B: At least 18 years appropriate/recognisable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate. Grade C: At least 34 years appropriate/recognisable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate.

Remuneration:
R 193 512 per annum - R 214 770 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
