A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience after registration with the HPCSA in Occupational Therapy. |

Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist. |
|
|
Computer literacy. Fluency in at least two of three official languages of the Western Cape Understanding of evidence-based practice and knowledge in the relevant clinical areas. Good organizational and planning skills. Knowledge of applicable health legislation, relevant acts and public service policies and procedures. |

|
Current registration with the HPCSA as Occupational Therapist (Independent practice). |
|
|
Management of Occupational Therapy service within the Paediatrics and Work Assessment Unit. Contribute to the overall operational plan of the Occupational Therapy Department at Tygerberg Hospital. Provision of an effective and efficient OT service in Paediatrics and Work Assessment Unit. Management of the Human Resources in the delegated Occupational Therapy units, in consultation with Head of Department (HOD). Management of the financial and physical resources in designated OT units. Provision of OT student training. Supervision of staff in work assessment and other clinical areas. |

Remuneration:
|
R 473 112 per annum - R 525 087 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
