Requirements
Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Ability to lift heavy loads and remain on your feet for long periods. Must be able to work in confined areas.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Accurately and timeously retrieve requested folders for the various departments and file all patient folders and other case notes. Make sure all medical records are protected and kept confidential. Maintain an effective filing system and maintain quality and accurate records by adhering to hospital and provincial policies and procedures. Maintain and repair patient folders. Prepare case notes/folders for archiving for salvaging/destruction.
 
Experience:
Appropriate medical records experience.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer literacy (MS Office, Outlook and Clinicom). Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Ability to work within a team and independently with minimum supervision. Ability to work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy and care.

Remuneration:
R 173 703- R 204 612 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
