Experience:
Appropriate Patient Registration experience. Appropriate experience in operating HIS/Clinicom System. Appropriate experience in receiving and safekeeping of State Money.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Assess patients in accordance with Hospital Memorandum 18 and UPFS manual. Effectively render Patient Administration service w.r.t admissions, registration and discharging of all patients. Accurate processing, collection, safekeeping and deposit of state money. Ensure accurate recording and collection of patient information. Handle patient enquiries. Effective support to supervisor and colleagues. Administrative functions to support the line function in the department.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge and experience of HIS/Clinicom Sound theoretical and practical knowledge of Hospital Memorandum 18 and UPFS manual. Good interpersonal, numerical and communication skills and ability to accept accountability, responsibility and work independently. Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).

Requirements
Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts (which include weekends and public holidays) Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 181 599-R 213 912 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
