Requirements:
Appropriate 3-year degree/national diploma.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in support services / facility management in a health care environment. Appropriate experience in Contract Management (Security, Cleaning, Catering Services, Grounds and Gardening, Pest Control, Health care risk Waste management). Appropriate supervisory experience.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills)
Appropriate knowledge of the Treasury Regulations and Contract Management, PFMA, OHS and Public Service Acts. Computer Literacy (MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Manage facility management department of the hospital which comprises of the following areas: Security, Laundry, Telephone exchange, Contract Management, Registry, Messenger, Transport, Ground Services and Estate Management. Manage all Service Level Agreements/ Service Contracts i.e. Security, Cleaning, Catering Services, Grounds and Gardening, Pest Control, Health care risk Waste management etc and stakeholders. Strategic and operational management of Facility Maintenance and Infrastructure Projects. Management of all aspects of Infrastructure and Estate Management from conducting Risk Assessments and Disaster Management. Assist with the development of Business Plans, Project Management and liaising with Engineering and Technical Services. Supervision of staff including performance management and provide support to supervisor.

Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence. Communication skills, both verbal and written in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R424 104 - R496 467 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
