Inherent requirements of the job:
Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in a Finance environment. Appropriate experience in LOGIS/BAS.
 
Note:
Candidates may be subjected to a competency test. No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Only officials employed within the Provincial Government: Western will be considered for the post.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Capturing of creditors payments. Correct reflection of accounting process of clearing the Assets and liability accounts. Cashier functions – Handling of petty cash. Reconcile statements and payments of creditors. Filing of payments and handling of general queries. General office administration and ad hoc duties. Assist in capturing of invoices and orders on data bases (Excel). Support to Supervisor.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge and practical experience of the LOGIS System. Computer literacy (Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, etc.) Good Interpersonal Skills. An Aptitude for accurate mathematical calculations to compile reports and submissions. Responsible and reliable.

Requirement:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accountancy as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’s) of the post.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 202 233 per annum - R 235 611 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
