| Sound theoretical and practical knowledge of Warehouse, Assets and Procurement functions. Problem solving abilities and analytical thinking. Ability to handle a high work volume and meet strict deadlines. Knowledge of Supply Chain Management processes and the accounting Officer System. Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel). |

| Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license. Good communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. |

| Appropriate experience in Supply Chain Management - Provisioning. Appropriate experience in Store / Warehouse environment. Appropriate experience in Asset Management. |

| Candidates may be subjected to a competency test. No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Only officials employed within the Provincial Government: Western will be considered for the post. |

| Demand and acquisition, capture requisitions, receive and issue inventory to end-user and maintain stock levels. Perform general LOGIS system functions pertaining to Warehousing. Manage the warehouse and the transit stores. Ensure that all transactions comply with legislative requirements. Partake in the annual asset count and ad-hoc inspections. Dispose of redundant, obsolete and unserviceable items in accordance with policies. Barcode and track all assets. Update and maintenance of the asset register with regard to equipment purchased, donated, transfers and disposals. Perform the duties of procurement of goods and services. Capture quotations, authorisation of PA and order. Execute compliance control related to Supply Chain Management Handle queries in all aspects within the Supply Chain Management Department. Assist, rotate and relief functions within all general tasks within the Supply Chain Management. |

Remuneration:

R 202 233 - R 235 611 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
