Competencies (knowledge/skills)
Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. Ability to do problem solving and effective reporting to the supervisor.
 
Experience:
Appropriate porter experience in public health facility.
 
Requirements:
Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Inherent requirements of the job:
Physically able to perform tasks such as lifting patients from/onto beds, trolleys and wheelchairs and in/out of vehicles. Willingness to rotate and assist in other areas as required. Good interpersonal /communication skills (read and write) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
To provide porter’s services according to needs of institution. Provide support to the multi-disciplinary team. Deliver effective support services in positioning and escorting. Effective utilization and maintenance of equipment.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 125 373 - R 145 077 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
