Inherent requirements
Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in a Hospital Fees related environment.
 
Competencies (Knowledge/Skills):
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook). Knowledge of Hospital Fees Memorandum Chapter 18, UPFS, HIS (Clinicom/AR System) Finance Instructions, PFMA and Treasury Instructions. Strong sense of confidentiality. Good interpersonal abilities.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Patient administration - Admissions Handling of state monies. Auditing of all outpatient clinic accounts. Capturing of all ICD 10 coding and all procedure codes for accounts. Request medical notes of patients where it's necessary. Ensure invoices are billed as per UPFS and billing requirements. Submission of medical aid accounts to the Case Managers. Collect revenue on outstanding Hospital Fees Accounts in line with Hospital Policy Fees Memorandum Chapter 18 and Finance Instruction.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) of the post.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 202 233 - R 235 611 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
