Assistant Director: Human Resource Administration

Requirements Minimum educational qualification:
Appropriate 3-year Degree or National Diploma in the field of Human Resource Management.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in payroll department and appropriate supervisory experience. Appropriate PERSAL experience.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Lead, manage, supervise and coordinate the work and performance, take full responsibility for Employee Benefits section. Administer conditions of service, allowances and deductions (appointments, housing, medical aid, leave, Resignations, pensions, overtime and acting allowances). Monitor and manage commuted overtime, debt management and PCM Verifications. Coordinate and administer COIDA, PILIR, incapacity processes and assist with the management of cases and E- disclosures. Implement systems and strategies to ensure effective and efficient Quality and Risk management and training of staff in the Human Resource Component as well as line managers at facilities.

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Proven knowledge of Public Service Regulations, Prescripts and Public Service Act and Audit compliance prescripts. Strong managerial and supervisory skills. Computer skills (MS Word and PowerPoint) Good interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to function under pressure and meet deadlines.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence Good communication skills (written and verbal) in at least two of the 3 official languages of the Western Cape.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 424 104 per annum - R 496 467 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
