Case Manager

Experience:
Appropriate and proven experience in Revenue Management. Appropriate Hospital experience in areas of Case Management. Appropriate experience in Hospital Information Systems (Clinicom, AR, JAC, BI)
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Appropriate knowledge of UPFS, ICD-10 Coding, EDI procedure, Medical Scheme ACT 131 of 1998. An aptitude for working with financial figures and be Computer Literate. Good interpersonal relations skills and the ability to act independently, objectively, and confidently.
 
Requirements Minimum educational qualification:
Appropriate three-year health related National Diploma/Degree or equivalent registrable with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) or South African Nursing Council (SANC).

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Responsible for overall operational tasks related to Case Management and contribute positively to Improve patient flow and folder administration. Liaise with Medical Schemes and Manage care organisations regarding benefits and verify and confirm membership of patients. Check Verify and Correlate pre and post operation procedure codes. Ensure policies, protocols, and procedures in relation to Case Management/Revenue is adhered to by all role players within the multi-disciplinary team. Co-ordinate the workflow processes between clinical and administrative personnel and audit accounts of all categories. Request relevant reports from the applicable billing systems to monitor and address Case Management functions. Orientate and introduce new staff to UPFS, Medical aid schemes patients and managed care policies and procedures. (Example: Tick Sheets, Pre-Authorization etc).
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence. Willingness to travel. Good verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 359 517 - R 420 402 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
